First Payment Cleared, And Oscar's Just Getting Started
When Oscar signed up for the Camps International Kenya expedition, he knew it wasn't going to be handed to him. The programme runs on scheduled payment instalments, real deadlines, not suggestions, and the first one had to be cleared by the 1st of June. He cleared it on the 9th of April. Nearly two months early. Not because anyone pushed him, but because Oscar decided early on that if this trip was going to happen, he was going to make it happen. Every pound he raises has bee

A Community Behind Every Clean Driveway, Oscar Hits £1,731
There are moments in a fundraising journey that feel bigger than the numbers. This week was one of them. Oscar has been out in his local community, pressure washer in hand, putting in genuinely hard work, and the response from the people around him has been wonderful. This week alone he raised £693, bringing his total raised to date to £1,731. That's a third of the way to Kenya, and it didn't come from a raffle or a just giving link shared into the void. It came from showing

How washing patios and clearing leaves raised £243
The total just moved to £1,281. Yesterday I raised £243 through a community fundraiser, helping people get their outdoor spaces ready for spring. Washing patios, clearing leaves, tidying up the kind of jobs that pile up over winter and never quite get done. People paid what they felt it was worth, and between the donations through the website and £43 that came through GoFundMe, it added up to £243 in a single day. That is the most I have raised in one day so far. But honestly

£1,038 raised — a quarter of the way to Kenya
When I set £5,190 as the target, it was just a number. Then people started donating, and buying things from the shop, and sharing the link — and now the total sits at £1,038. That's 20% of the way to Tsavo and Diani. Some of that came from people I know. Some came from people I've never met. I don't take either lightly. The fundraising has three stages. The first is reaching £2,076 by 1st July 2026 — that's the next checkpoint. Then £5,190 in full by 1st May 2027, two months

It starts here
My name is Oscar and I'm 14. In 2027, I'm travelling to Kenya with Camps International on a four-week expedition: wildlife conservation in the savannahs of Tsavo, then learning to scuba dive on the white-sand beaches of Diani as part of a marine conservation programme. It's not a holiday. You work, you contribute, and you come back changed. To get there, I need to raise £4,000. That's a big number when you're 14 and live on the Isle of Wight. So I built this site, designed so
